I've never seen anything written that March perspective planted acres is adjusted for PP. Acres harvested for grain is estimated by a simple factor. Personally, I don't believe that the PP will be the big story. The bigger story will be that corn that's stressed early never catches up. 90 M A's planted or 82.8 M harvested for corn @ 170 bpa is 14.076 billion bushels. Let's say it is 88 M planted or 81 M harvested x 167 bpa or 13.57 billion bushel. Well, total usage this year, 16/17 is expected to be 14.66 billion leaving ending stocks at 2.33 billion. Next year's perspective usage is 14.3 so 14.3-13.6 is 0.7 billion. So all of a sudden your 2018 ending stocks looks like 1.7 instead of 2.1 billion bushel.
