Guess I don't see the similarity, certainly not for the cold temps. Timing is everything, and I would say without question the moisture timing was better for crop development in the two years you cited than this year. Al dutcher from unl has been using a simliar model to 1983 for this year, not near as bad, but guess we will see if the rain stops and he is correct
