And people say the packers haven't been making money the past few years. Making so much now they don't even want to piss around feeding.

What I find amazing is that they can sell 1 lb packages of ground beef at Walmart for 4.50 and have 10 lb packages for 1.98/lb. That just shows the incredible margin they have right now.


They are selling off there low return business and investing that money into higher return business-average feedlot return is 1-3%-the other business they are investing in is a 10-20% return
