Driftless SW Wisconsin

oldirtyb - 3/29/2017 19:43 Calf was born yesterday. Smaller heifer calf. It's up and sucking but found this this afternoon. Is momma's diet too rich. Been feeding the cows a bale of corn stalks, bale of 18.5 - 19% protien hay and corn silage.

Seems to me that if you are feeding 18%+ protein hay plus cornstalks plus a good mineral program they wouldn't need corn silage.  What do your cows look like in the brisket especially?

Did your cows get a scours shot?  Are they in a lot or out in pasture?
