WC Missouri | Lime. Before anything else, you need to lime. Not sure how close you can get it, but I know there is plenty available at the Stamper mine between Smithville and Platte City.
That will put lots of things back in balance for you. In that first grid, for example, you have a pretty big spread of pH and buffer pH, which essentially means the soil is open to improvements. Less acidity in the soil would take away some of the hydrogen and help put some things back in balance...maybe boost the base saturation of K.
We would likely ask you to apply K across the field, and we would like to see you apply P on that first grid in particular.
However, it wouldn't make any difference how much you apply if you don't get the pH in order first, particularly in that first grid. It's a little closer to optimum in the 6.2 grid, but you'd still want to apply lime there. Note the differences in P numbers there, with the higher pH. |
