western iowa | First I would just say that he has every reason to back away from that deal and the seller is wrong to press the issue. And this also gives a lesson on selling a piece of equipment. Something is never sold until you get paid for it. I have been in this situation in selling a tractor before also. Had a verbal commitment from a guy and held it until he got his older tractor sold. Deal almost fell thru and other buyers that I had put on hold had no interest when I came back to them. Eventually it did all work out as planned though. Second thought. Always fill out a standard bill of sale that the piece is being sold "as is" with both parties signing it agreeing on the deal. | |
