But the part that a lot of highly leveraged operations forget is that the pain from a $50/hd loss is much, much worse than the relief from a $150/hd gain. They lose 50 a head, it can literally put some guys out of business right now. So you hedged about 100/hd profit, and bc of those hedges, might give up 50-75 a head, but you're still in the game. Risk ability is directly tied to ability to lose cash. | |
