Ease up on Sat, Southern Man. I'm not saying he's necessarily right about his price projections, but that an offset to the natural price bullishness of farmers is not necessarily a bad thing. We as a group need to be playing defense rather than looking at markets thru the prism of rose colored glasses. History proves that not only can markets go far higher and stay there longer than seems possible but they can also can stay below the cost of production for extended periods of time... look at the swings of the 1970's! I remember those days all too well and the long aftermath of the 1980's even better.

I like a diversity of market opinions as it helps me make a more informed decision on the production I control. This forum provides that and I am grateful for it. Snipping between participants tends to reduced the number of posters that are willing to venture an opinion on a market... and I think we can agree that that's not a good thing.
