Central Missouri | Inflation going forward for the American farmer will be a bad thing. Our prices already inflated and set the new range for corn price for the next 20 years at roughly 2.70-8.00. Inflation of land price will occur one more time in the next 10 years where new high prices will be set for ag land. The fall from that will be the crusher like the mid late 80's. We will have price increases within the range on corn and when prices get above 75% of that range we need to be locking in price on 3 years of production because the resulting fall will be crushing. Imagine our input prices have inflated more than what they are and prices are below where we are now. It happens every commodity cycle. I feel for you guys in the high property tax states. Ours is less than 6 bucks an acre. Jmo
