Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | We've bought insurance on several bulls, but they were all pretty high dollar bulls. We run registered Angus, so to keep up with what the market wants we buy bulls from far away at times. We just purchased short term insurance on them for the ride home, since usually someone else was hauling them half way across the country. It wasn't expensive at all for that type of deal.
We maintain insurance on a bull we own a 50% share in, but mostly because we don't have physical possession. He's being collected at another ranch. Our share of the insurance runs almost $500/year. Luckily we've never had to find out what the claims process is like. | |
