This is my Opinion. I have doubts that Outback can survive as a supplier of retail precision ag equipment. Right now they're surviving because they sold their receiver line to the Chinese (Hemisphere) They took the cash from that sale and bought a major supplier to Ag Leader. Ag Leader has since made deals with other suppliers that dilute the value of the supplier Outback bought. So while Outback is well capitalized they don't have sales to keep their workforce occupied. Raven and Trimble is diversified enough that this downturn in Ag Precision sales is offset by booming sales in other divisions. Ag Leader has already survived several boom bust cycles. |
