Let's look at what is going on here..
Domestically we've been up against the 10% "mandated" blend wall.. to wit Vilsack rolled out a program to put more blenders pumps out there where consumers could have access to cheaper ethanol blended gasoline.. such as in the midwest where ethanol plants are abundant.
It appears to be having an effect..

RFA estimates that approximately 25–30 percent of the 230 million vehicles on the road today are clearly approved by the automaker to use E15. Meanwhile, roughly 90 percent of vehicles on the road were built in 2001 or later, meaning they are legally approved by EPA to use E15.

It's a program that is CLEARLY Working.
Now exports..

So where are these exports going? ( https://www.eia.gov/dnav/pet/PET_MOVE_EXPC_A_EPOOXE_EEX_MBBL_M.htm )

Does India represent a New HUGE Market?
Given the size of the US Crops.. we DEFINTELY NEED to Support continued growth in DEMAND such as Ethanol.
PEOTUS Trump has nominated AG of Oklahoma Pruitt to head the EPA.. it is VERY IMPORTANT that Mr Pruitt NOT stand in the way of the PROGRESS that has been made in the Ethanol markets.
Specifically I wonder how the proposed new EPA head would deal with the Earthquakes that are increasingly becoming "an issue" for continued fossil fuel production within his great state of Oklahoma.. some people are FED UP with the amount of INACTION and have hired lawyers to see relief..
CUSHING, Oklahoma - A group of Cushing-area citizens have filed a class action lawsuit against at least five energy companies following a November 6 earthquake that measured 5.0 magnitude. David and Myra Reid, Valerie Branyan and Timothy Harris filed the suit on behalf of themselves and other "similarly situated' Oklahoma citizens. Furthermore..
as Michael Brune, executive director of the Sierra Club, phrased it: "Having Scott Pruitt in charge of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is like putting an arsonist in charge of fighting fires." As Common Dreams previously reported, Pruitt used his position as Oklahoma Attorney General to sue the EPA in an attempt to block measures to reduce pollution and protect waterways. In response to Pruitt's appointment, Rep. Raúl Grijalva (D-Ariz.), ranking member of the House Natural Resources Committee, on Thursday introduced the Preventing Preventable Earthquakes Act, referencing two major environmental issues associated with the EPA nominee—hydraulic fracturing, or fracking, and Oklahoma's fracking-related earthquake crisis. The bill would require states and the EPA to enforce earthquake-prevention provisions and work toward "zero induced seismicity." Oklahoma is the de facto earthquake capital of the country, having recently experienced an uptick in seismic activity which scientists have linked to fracking and wastewater disposal. The latest big tremor, a magnitude-5.0 event in November, was the 19th earthquake in the state that week. "The first step to cleaning up Pruitt's earthquake disaster is to stop it from getting worse," said Benjamin Schreiber, climate and energy director at Friends of the Earth, in response to Grijalva's bill. "It is clear that Donald Trump is willing to put Americans at risk in order to pump industry profits out of our natural resources." Schreiber described the effect of fracking as "destructive and short-sighted." Ken Kimmell, president of the Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), said Wednesday, "Pruitt's statements and actions are in direct conflict with the job to which he has been nominated. [The EPA] defends environmental justice and fights the risk of catastrophic climate change. Under Pruitt's leadership, all of these policies will suffer and so will the Americans who rely on them." Meanwhile, Democrats and greens on Capitol Hill are gearing up to fight Pruitt's nomination, which Sen. Brian Schatz (D-Hawaii), a member of the Environment and Public Works (EPW) Committee, told The Hill was a "worst-case scenario when it comes to clean air and clean water." Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), another EPW member, also vowed to "vigorously" oppose Pruitt. "At a time when climate change is the great environmental threat to the entire planet, it is sad and dangerous that Mr. Trump has nominated Scott Pruitt to lead the EPA," he said.
Now I can soften my opposition to Scott Pruitt's nomination IF and ONLY IF We see assurances that he is NOT going to GUT the RFS.. which.. ???
Idk.. if that will occur..??
I'm not opposed to Fossil fuel production.. However, say what you will but W Bush and Cheney lead us to War in Iraq in essence to stabilize an area where our Imports of Crude Oil held the World economy hostage. Cheney was correct in noting that having THAT MUCH of our energy Dependent upon KSA being a reliable supplier..
Since then the US has ramped up Domestic Production of Crude.. no doubt in part to the Fracking revolution.. however one detriment has been these earthquakes..
I do agree with President Obama that we have become more secure by promoting DOMESTIC energy supplies such as Ethanol.. EV's.. Wind and Solar growth in our electricity sources et all..
I DO support Pruitt's rollback of oderous EPA regulations such as WOTUS et all...
but.. not everything the EPA does is bad. We all benefit from Clean Air and Clean water. Here's what we need.. $0.31 premium for "ethanol free" gasoline here If that's what you want.. "go for it." I'll take the renewable product that is supporting Rural America.. Thanks.
Now I want an e-15.. preferably an e-30 option,
