I agree with adding a remote start alarm. I did on my '06 Ford F250 6.0. I f I set the parking brake and push the remote start button I can exit the vehicle and lock it up with the engine running. It has a ten minute time out after which it shuts the vehicle down. It also shuts off if the brake pedal is depressed. In the morning I can remote start it and it runs for 10 minutes before shutting off.
