Subject: RE: 925F John Deere platform - vibration issue

210 Industrial Dr., Arlington Wisconsin 53911
I have seen many heads in the 675xxx to 695xxx serial number range with the
A-arm rear pivot brackets broken. In some cases the greasable pivot pin was missing.
Deere parts has a replacement pin available as a weld in fix. If this is the problem
with the sickle running you should see it move in relation to the stainless pans that
are fixed to the main head as the sickle and sickle bar are not. Some movement is
ok but shouldn't be excessive. I've seen the cast A-arm broken. Also check for a
cracked or bent skid plate next to the wobble box to the inside. Later models and
especially the 930 heads are beefed up in this area. The 930 also had a much beefier A-arm.
