Subject: RE: Borrowing stuff out

Washington Co Ks
The neighbor wanted Dad to pay for the welding. While we got along well with the neighbor and continued to borrow each others stuff the neighbor had a habit of sometimes bringing things back not quite in the condition that he borrowed them. For example he once borrowed Dad's ensilage cutter and to get lined up to where he wanted it set he pulled it sideways and bent a wheel. He brought it back and never said anything about it. Just letting Dad know what happened would have gone a long way. I agree that many breakdowns will happen the next time the equipment is used no matter how uses it. In most cases if something breaks while I am using it I would offer to pay for the repairs or at least help with the expense.
