SC MN | Spend the money and repower you old units, you will be amazed at the stand you get, just did ours last year and also upgraded to the 20/20 seed sense monitor. Best money ever spent on a corn planter!!! We had 1983 jd 7000 16 30, repowered our units and went from the old blinky light monitor to the new 20/20. Spent a about $8000 on the old girl. With the monitor you can watch seed placement for everyrow, watch and see if your units are bouncing to much(driving to fast). The best screen on the monitor is the $/acre loss screen. Put in the amount that you have your corn sold for and it takes over from there!!! When the loss per acre exceeds its limits, you will be amazed at how much money you are throwing out the window!!! We actually slowed down in most instances with our planter from 5.5 to 4.5( saved ourselves almost $20/acre by doing so!!!I will guarnatee that you could pay for the monitor and repower kits in the first 500 acres of corn you plant!!!!! The adjsutable brush is the cats meow, you can acually do a great job of planting flats with a lot fewer doubles!!! Feel free to call and I would be happy to talk to you more about it !!! 507 381 9675 | |
