Driftless SW Wisconsin

KenC - 9/18/2016 20:12 I don't have time to go to a sale so not sure how far they have crashed.? I always buy from a couple guys with cow herds that call me whenever they lose a cow, have one late etc. Guy is asking $300, sounds high. Thanks

If this is a one week old 100% beef breed calf I think the $300 asking price sounds fair.  There certainly aren't a lot of those for sale.

The $200 range numbers mentioned above seem to be about what dairy bull calves, even 50% beef breed, are bringing. Some dairies are breeding a portion ("lower half") of their Holsteins to an Angus bull if they are selling the calves.
