724 myn total in first column.. do you work for FC Stoned?  Must have used planted acres.. thunk USDA was around 640'ish.. 660..?? idk..

probably hurting SC a little too much in your outlook.. we are more irrigated than dry.. and the irrigated is starting to improve.. we're into 200++ bu corn now.  Not too often that you see a year where the slopes and hills are bringing the yields UP offsetting the normally higher yielding flats...  ?!?  "Golly let's get back on THAT HILL where the YIELDS are..."

I guess multiple 2+ to even 4" rains will do that.. golly so this is what they are crying about in the cornbelt about TOO much rain..?!?  huh.. haven't seen much of that for awhile.. but "guess so.."

Nutrient/Chem leaching vs program and disease tolerance are the key issues here..

Ma Nature threw a curve ball to the cost price input squeezed farmer..

"So you want to save some $$$ on inputs eh?  Try THIS year.. "

.. at least it rained.

"always something."

We Averaged 61.88 on Test weights last year.. some as high as 64..  This year.. 3 to 5% lower.. but still too early to say much.. haven't scaled alot of irrigated.. 60.6'ish.. dryland was 57.4.. better than last year.. still got some of the better irrigated yet to go..

later.

oh and shout out to Angie Seltzer (sp??) on market rally last night..

"2015 benefited ethanol production with good grain quality and test weights.. 2016 will probably not yield as much lowering the conversion and increasing the bushel grind per gallon of ethanol..."

atta girl.. point well made.
