Carbondale, KS | I would concur w/Cliff and Plowboy. Taller tire - width is only ok if it's got height. We have 900 - 50 - 42 or something like that and love them. 600"+ flat plate and we run about 15 psi in them.
I do think the rears are just as important. 28 x 26's are a good rear tire especially on the deere as they have lots of room. We run 24 x 26's on our Gleaner and they are fine - i think Michelen (sp?) makes a 600 something metric that will go on this rim and that's what we will use when these others get wore. We are all notill. I did try them out in a family members conventional field when it was muddy and they barely left a track - i left about as much track when i got out and looked as the combine did. | |
