I have never even driven an IVT so whatever I say has no practical application. I'm only trying to think through what the other posts were saying when they thought the IVT used more fuel doing heavy tillage. It makes sense to me that they would use more fuel under constant heavy tillage. If a person has a wide variety of jobs for the tractor the IVT might be much better on fuel overall - I don't know - just trying to envision "with my minds eye" how things might work out. No practical experience at all.
