Colerain, NC | The 2011 model year had plastic oil pans which they changed back to metal for the 2012 year model. Since the turbo sits in the valley of the engine there have been issues with the ceramic ball bearings in the turbo going out due to heat (yes...for some odd reason they used ceramic). I haven't heard any issues with the fuel system like the 6.4 engines. Check out powerstrokehelp.com. Bill specializes in these engines and always posts useful videos and he also posts known issues and causes. | |
