There are some options to use forks on the existing bucket but they limit the view of the forks getting lined up with pallets and may reduce lifting capacity by putting them further forward.

Some mount to a bar on top of the bucket which could be removed pic 1

Some mount and can be flipped over the back of the bucket and secured when not in use pic 2

Some can be picked up and dropped off easily via permanent hooks welded on top of bucket pic 3

Ideally quick attach forks minus the bucket would be better.
