| I had a 2006 model dk 40. It was a well built machine. I bought the loader that went with it. The Perkins diesel engine was very reliable and the 4x4 was strong. It would go just about anywhere. I used it for hay work, mowing, earth work, finish grading. I wish I would have bought a hydro static, but I ended up with a shuttle shift. Only problem I had with mine was a couple of pto swith and 4x4 switches that got water in them amd would not work. They were replaced under warranty. I sold mine to my father in law and bought a bigger green tractor with a cab. There are many days I wish I still had it. It was reliable and handy.
One reason for selling it is the dealership that was about 5 miles from the farm closed. That required me to order parts on line from 150 mIles away. That doesn't work when you have hay on the ground. | |
