Last night spraying my 30 in beans planted Rtk and then spraying with Rtk made me wonder more guys don't do it. I have sprayed with waas or sf1 and I ended up driving it my self most times. I think if your going to plant and spray the extra cost of the Rtk is spread out. I don't have to worry about my boom and staying off the rows and my sprayer tracks never wander in my wheat either. I will plant 600 acres and spray around 2000 a year my cost per acre is higher but it amazes me the BTOs running waas or SF1 on new fleets of equipment. We will likely keep the guidance systems each time we trade so over 6-7 years it's not a huge cost to go Rtk IMO.

I've wondered the same thing. Guys running $350k sprayers but still driving em. When I was spraying I ran Trimble rtk as the guy I worked for had his own towers. It took a bit of work and fine tuning from a great tech but my last sprayer (Case 4430) I was able to accurately run almost every condition including strip till at 15-18 mph. Spraying 1000+ acres a day and having to steer the thing can get old in a hurry
