Subject: RE: When to start negotiations on land rent?

Alliance, NE
The land that I am farming was sold to another family member after the estate was settled. We had second chance at it but they ended up getting it. We have farmed thus ground for a long long time. We used to crop share it but now cash rent it. Last year was their first owning it. I pretty much agreed to their terms the first and second year. I think the 3rd year it might have to get more in line with the going rate. I will just have to talk with the farm manager first, as he is local and the family is many miles away and mostly out of the country. Never hurts to asks I guess. Thanks for the replies.
