| I think you have it about right. I've seen wheat seeded into December - it will green up and grow in the spring.
The one thing you do not see is the yield. The wheat that is seeded earlier - up to a point - will most likely yield more. However, most guys don't do wheat planting dates trials to determine optimal planting date...... if you get my drift. Sometimes, seeding wheat is a matter of getting it done when you can.......
