I have taught my son this. What ever a salesperson says. Reverse it and you are prob. closer to the truth.
"Best gas mileage for your needs."
"I would buy one myself, if I could."

As I was showing my son how to shop for a used car we were in a dealership asking for a price on a car. The dealership actually had the gall to ask him for his S.S. # before they would give him a price. What does a S.S. # have to do with pricing a car? I took him by the arm, gently, and got out of there pronto.
