Keep this in mind.............a 24' Turbo Till weighs in at 11,240lbs. You are inserting a lot more metal into the ground with a vertical till machine and will require more weight to get the penetration you require. Many disc frames can handle the additional weight required.....many MORE cannot. Run the angles of the gangs as close to zero as possible to avoid hopping, 6 degrees is about the max as Great Plains has proven with the Turbo Max. Most of the complaints we hear from blade customers who do this operation are about the lack of penetration. It takes weight and a heavy framed disc to do the job correctly.
