Subject: John Deere 726 finisher inputs?

Norwich, ND
Any problems with these? Can I go into 30-45 bushel bean residue after the combine in the fall with this tool are the shanks to light? Will it plug? I'm looking for something to make a nice level seedbed in front of the planter for next season and looks like these are a fairly cheap older tool that might do just what I want. Not by any means a big corn grower up here so I'm trying to keep it cheaper. Mostly no till/minimum till wheat, canola and bean rotation which works great. So the finisher would only get used on 500-1000 acres of corn seedbed prep in front of planter depending on the year. I was thinking a pass in the fall and a pass in the spring in ether wheat or bean stubble would do the trick then hit it with planter. Inputs?
