Depending on how many gates you have per pipe, I think it would be very hard to buy new pipe reasonable compared to just putting in gates. We bought some 20" spacing 8" pipe a few years ago for around 1.50. Used pipe, Brand new gates and gaskets. Scrapped the old stuff, Think it figured out to .70 cents. The twenty inch spacing is so handy.
