Had a similar problem when I rebuilt the two swing cylinders on my Case 580C backhoe. Would swing fine one way, but was really slow when swinging the other way. Was about to take it apart again and investigate, but wanted to do one job first. It gradually got up to working properly, (normal speed). Must have been air in system, but took an hour or so to get to working properly.
Hydraulic cylinder problems...
