Columbus, TX | The guy needing the rice harvested is an old man who is retiring next year. He's farmed rice his whole life and I am to lease his ground next year and pick up where he left off. He will know much more about this combine and harvesting than I do. I realize rice is tough on a combine, but this is rice country where I am at and it's what the combine will be primarily used for. That's just the way it goes. Some days I can operate the machine, and others I can let him if I choose to. I'm just asking for prices here and what to charge, not how to handle the situation. With rice being a tougher crop to harvest and dealing with levees and mud, the price should reflect that. This is what I am wondering. | |
