My thought are it is not generally a good idea to rent out machinery that requires a skilled operator. Wrong guy running it could do thousands in damage, and they won't want to pay. You get back a conbine that needs $$$ in repair and you become a jerk. He will claim not his fault. You loose a friend and neighbor. Not worth it.
Only way i would do it is if i ran the machine.
