I see you are in south central Minnesota, I'm in Clear Lake IA so our dirt can't be that different... This was the first field after we put all new blades on and wow what a difference that made. Some guys let the disc float, but we run the gauge in the orange to red for down pressure. We do run the risk of breaking a blade or premature bearing wear, but for the job I got it to do I will take that chance. I can buy three of these used for what a new 875 would run so we will run 2700's till there is no more left.
