Get the 60' and plant slower. I think this high speed thing with planting is going to be just a fad.


i'm with him its easier to maintain a solid speed and do lots in a day with a db than a smaller planter driving fast, field shape is a big issue too.

we have a 24/47 and ya can't beat it with a 40ft no matter how fast you keep on driving especially in beans we go sometimes 8mph when there's rain coming and there's no real difference in stand, with corn we usually go 4-5mph depending on field conditions, trying to go 9-10mph imo wears a person out pretty quick and steering at the headland will be a challenge too.
