The pearl millet for cover is something I will try this year. Corn on our upland can be iffy, doesn't fair well unless we get some july/ august rains. Don't want too many acres of that. Milo fairs well but it's got too many potential problems that can just suck the profit clear out of it. I don't even want to plant the stuff. Soybeans have been able to be pretty decent on the wheat stubble ground that has been idle. That's the main reason wheat has retained as many acres as it has. It sure isn't because of the profit potential.
