I've had pontoons but now have a Hurricane deck boat. It has a fiberglass hull like a traditional boat and layout is the open seating concept of the traditional pontoon. Mine is 22'6" and has 150hp yamaha. It will cruise efficiently and comfortably at 20-30mph and top speed is around 45. Planes and handles rough water much better than the pontoons I've had.
