We do pick the rocks. The roller is to push all the corn root balls into the soil so they are not run through the combine. Running all that soil through the combine causes too much wear and tear in my opinion. Also increases harvest speed and quality of cutting both of wich save me money. I won't let my combine in a soybean field that hasn't been rolled just my belief.
