Sw mn | As close to the post as possible but far enough u don't hit it with the planter or corn head. Then in between the post the first guy plants close to the line. I have 22" rows so I try for 11" but its not always perfect. The second guy trys to match the first guy and put 20-30" between the rows. It helps with weeds.
Also the first guy sets the edge of the field. So if he stays away two rows I will plant to match his and will have two rows in his field. Same if I plant first he crowed no big deal but if he plants first and is on my side I plant as close to the line as possible with the hopes my combine gets there first. | |
