NC Indiana | If this is a consistent problem even up on the sand ridges, then if it was here I would say it was the field they thought they could farm went everything else was to wet still because you know you can't compact sand, even though they use wet sand for road beds, and have packed the snot out of it at 4" deep. Otherwise how high is your K? Your soil could be chemically out of wack and they've made concrete. If you do rip, make sure it's dry and have an actively growing deep rooting cover crop to help hold open the cracks you create with your ripping. | |
