As for as export approvals, Monsanto has to protect worldwide supply of RR 1 indefinitely, to prevent Grain Merchandisers from even suggesting that any GMO trait should have a dock associated with the event.
As far as your comments concerning thriftiness, really don't need to pay for much research when price of commodity soybeans are below cost of production.
