I think a larger potential problem is; Monsanto has stated they will maintain the approval for a period of time (through 2021) then not renew it. This will put the seed savers at a disadvantage by trying to deliver a "unapproved gmo". But this time it will not be BIG CHEMISTRY messing up the market, but cheapskates thrifty farmers. The only potential way around this conundrum is for some other organization to maintain the "relevant regulatory packages" beyond 2021. Edit: replace inflammatory description with a more friendly one.
