If the vehicle was ever used as a rural mail carrier, chances are good that the turn signal switch has gotten hot and partially melted. Debbie had a lot of trouble with 97 Blazer when she was relief mail carrier. It was intermittent problem though. GM replaced original switch twice then found sb that mentioned problem with TSW. Cure was replace with updated unit, which solved the problem.
