eastern south central KS
In my part of the world most corn ground is strip tilled by now with close to full load of nutrients and some preplant herb. applied. Switching acres just doesn't happen that much at this stage of the game. Even in the heart of the corn belt will that many acres really be switched from intended corn to beans? I realize you have some time before planting, but here planters are starting to run and a very negative intentions report is not going to change things. How much last minute flexibility do the majority of larger farms in the corn belt have built in at this stage of the game?
