North Central Illinois | He is doing the same thing he did in 2012. He is taking a possible weather concern and going to pump it for all it is worth for as long as he can. He got lucky and guessed right in 2012. Maybe he gets luck again I don't know. I have a very uneasy feeling about summer weather this year myself but at this point you still have to figure average. Planning for a record good crop or a record bad crop at this point is nothing more than pure speculation. You will never know if his bins are full or empty. If the market runs higher he will claim to be sitting on three years of crop and if it goes lower he will claim he "scaled" in sales along the way at very profitable levels.
