Northeast Louisiana | Rules vary by state, and even within a state they can vary based on who you talk to. I wish everyone would get on the same page.
I did this a couple of years ago, and after getting a number assigned someone from the state contacted me to do an evaluation going over our drug test procedures, etc. Once I told him we were strictly farmers hauling our own crops and not trucking for hire he said we didn't have to do any of that. I had him draft me a letter stating such and put a copy with the truck paperwork so we'd have proof. | |
