Ontario's middle east | I'm not a big options guy at all BUT, sometimes if that's what it takes to make a guy take action and get a floor under his feet, I say let'er rip. Even if you are just covering the hail Mary weather events and looking at a OZC 440 call. That can be had for around 16 today but, if you buy the seasonal trend hocus pocus some of us follow, you might consider an OCD Aug 440 call for about 9. That is the new crop short dated option based off Z but expiring around July 25, when we know a lot more about crop potential. If that takes the fear of a run away market away and lets you incrementally sell a spring rally it will be a whole lot cheaper than the "lets guess the weather pattern and predict the crop size" marketing plan of last year..... | |
