I slice square tube and rectangular tube lengthwise with a circular metal saw. It does have a lot of pressure to pinch blade. I use wedges to hold kerf open. Not easy. Plasma cutter will do but you will have to see how your final product measures. Depending on your specifications and tolerance. Might be good enough, might not.
