Gas in a shop vac is usually the third biggest draw of the safety police's concern, behind PVC airlines and welding on a rim.
Yup - vaporized gasoline in the air stream combined with static electricity in the hose and then the vapors blowing through the vacuum's electric motor with sparking brushes...Bravo!
