Subject: RE: Fleet Engineer rear truck fenders

Wi
Have used both minimizer and fleet engineers. Can't say which is better really, flip a coin. The fleet engineer mounts shown above with the set screw can be a PITA to get apart later, they look nice though. The last mounting kit I got from Minimizer showed they must be cutting costs. The offset brackets used to be a nice CNC cut, profiled piece. Now it's just a piece of flat strap with sharp corners and a hole punched in it.

Definitely nice to have though, especially if you ever drive around bobtail or pull trailers that don't cover the drives. Keeps things clean and avoids paint chips and broken windows. They get in the way for some service work, but not the end of the world.

Take your time installing so they don't rub and don't look bad. As mentioned, you may need to raise the 5th wheel.
